PARTICIPATORY URBAN AND SITE DEVELOPMENT PLANNING FOR ANIBONG RESETTLEMENT PROJECT

Project description: Site inspection, assessment, participatory site planning and design with community. TAMPEI conducted training of trainers to the CRS community facilitators on understanding urban planning concepts and participatory design tools that will capacitate and empower them in the design process. The project also included technological and financial research and finalization of the site development plan. Partner institutions and beneficiaries:

THE INTEGRATED PEOPLE-DRIVEN MODEL COMMUNITY IN POST YOLANDA – FRANCESCO HOUSING PROJECT (POPE FRANCIS FOR RESILIENT AND CO-EMPOWERED SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY)


Project description: The Pope Francis Village will serve as a showcase to demonstrate both to the government –local and national -and the international humanitarian organizations that in-city relocation is possible and realistic, and that they have the right to live in areas accessible to their original source of livelihood in contrast to the long-distant relocation plan of the government, and more importantly that they are not just consulted or full participants in the recovery and reconstruction but an integral part of the (re)building their new community. Partner institutions and beneficiaries:

  • 550 houses for families affected of Typhoon Yolanda

Project description: Onsite housing and site re-blocking – TAMPEI provides technical assistance through assessment and validation of existing structures, design consultation with the community, drafting of plans, cost estimates and specifications, construction supervision Partner institutions and beneficiaries:

  • 22 out of 342 families were identified as the pilot in 2014 for the project

Amount of award: Php 108,000.00 Implementation period: 2014 to present

Project description: Housing and site development on water – TAMPEI provides technical assistance through housing and site development design workshops, conduct research about floating housing design, drafting of site development plan for submission and approval by the Local Government Unit (LGU) Partner institutions and beneficiaries:

  • Members of Del Rosario Compound Homeowners Association (96 families)

Amount of award: USD 2,000.00
